STAR is an independent investment fund manager with over €1 billion of equity funds under management. It was established in 2000 to acquire and develop capital assets and capital asset-based businesses, either independently or in partnership with existing owners/industry partners.

We consider a wide range of opportunities including standard MBO/MBI deals (whole businesses or divisions). However, the main focus of STAR's Strategy is to act as a capital partner. Based on our in-depth expertise we have developed a Capital Outsourcing solution that addresses the many issues faced by capital-intensive companies.

STAR is looking for the opportunity to invest in capital-intensive corporate activity that has:

• the ability to generate long-term stable cash flows;
• a location in Western Europe;
• an enterprise value in the range of €100 million to €1 billion; and
• a strategic position.

Although we will look at opportunities in most sectors, our key Target Sectors include oil & gas, transport, utilities, telecommunications and healthcare.

In return STAR can offer access to substantial capital, an experienced investment team supported by specialist industry advisors, a customised approach to structuring transactions to meet your requirements and a rapid response.

We are currently investing our second fund and, supported by co-investment from our partners, we can complete deals with enterprise values up to €1 billion.
