Nextbike launches MyRadl
26 May 2026
STAR Capital Partnership LLP portfolio company nextbike, a leading European bike-sharing operator with over 400 locations in more than 20 countries, has launched MyRadl in Munich, a new regional bike-sharing system connecting the city with 36 surrounding municipalities across the Munich Transport and Tariff Association network.
-
Operated by nextbike, MyRadl will comprise more than 6,700 bikes, including 2,600 e-bikes, across around 1,000 stations once fully rolled out, at which point it is expected to become Germany’s largest bike-sharing system and nextbike’s largest system to date.
-
The rollout begins with more than 2,000 bikes across the participating municipalities, including 700 bikes in Munich, before expanding gradually to full system size.
-
The system is designed to work across municipal and district boundaries, with rentals available through the MVV, MVGO and nextbike apps, helping to integrate bike sharing more closely with the wider public transport network.
-
MyRadl reinforces nextbike’s role as a trusted partner to cities and transport authorities, delivering bike-sharing systems that are integrated into local mobility networks and designed for everyday use.
STAR is proud to see nextbike delivering a landmark project of this scale and continuing to expand access to sustainable, everyday urban mobility.
