Dr. Joe Michels is an experienced investor and executive who began his career as a university lecturer and physicist. Currently he is director of technical sales for the UK and Europe at Pride Mobility Products, a global leader in power wheelchairs and mobility products. For STAR Capital, Joe focuses on investment opportunities in the energy and power sectors.
Prior to these roles, he was a managing director at private equity firms One Equity Partners, then the private investment arm of JPMorgan Chase, and White Deer Energy. He has served on numerous boards including Imperative Chemicals, Allied Technologies and Polaroid. Joe has a PhD in physics from Oxford and a BA in physics and English with honors from LaSalle University.
