Umberto Arts has been Senior Representative for the Benelux region at STAR Capital since 2018. He also holds several directorships in the financial sector, serves on PMV’s investment committees for growth companies, teaches corporate governance, and mentor’s startups and scale-ups. In addition, he advises the Belgian government on foreign trade.

Previously, Umberto spent nearly 35 years with KBC Group in roles across London, Asia, Poland, Belgium, and Germany, focusing on treasury, corporate, and investment banking. He served as Board Member, COO, CRO, and Chair of the Credit Committee at Kredytbank (subsidiary of KBC in Poland), and has held leadership roles on multiple bank boards and audit, risk, and compliance committees. He also chaired the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and London.
